In my quest to become more “green”, I have really been turned off by some of my friends and family. I’m surprised at the response I get from people regarding this topic. People think that you are a “tree hugger” or “hippie” when you do a few simple things to help the environment along.

So…my family and I have moved from a large city to a very small town. I love the idea and feel of a small town but already miss the modern conveniences of the city. The main thing I miss: recycling pick-up.

I know this seems like common sense but it really must be said again: open as many windows as you can on cleaning day. You don’t need to breathe in the chemicals and this will help them to get out quicker. Even when using Green products…this applies.
A little fresh air is always good.

I thought this was a pretty cool idea when I read about it recently. Fill up a sled with water for your baby to sit in a splash. It’s easy to move anywhere, doesn’t waste water, and is much safer for a little one.
