old cookie sheets

Before you throw away your old and possibly rusty cookie sheets, consider this use. Save them and throw them in your entry or mud room on the floor. When kids come in from playing in the snow or mud you can put their shoes on the sheets and save your floors.

Baking soda can be used for more than baking or keeping your fridge smelling fresh.  Use baking soda the next time you need to remove stains from sinks, toilets or plastics like toys or outdoor furniture.  Apply a layer of baking soda and scrub with a damp sponge.

It’s a really good idea to clean up your trash cans now and then.  You can use bleach spray and wipe them down on the outside.  Fill with water and some bleach on the inside and let it sit for a while.

I have found a great way to save time at the end of your painting day.  Wrap your brush or roller in plastic wrap and put them in the freezer.  When you are ready to paint the same color again just set them out and let them thaw.  This will save you time and money.

As always…my candles drip everywhere but I keep using them.  A helpful hint for getting that wax off of your carpets or rugs is to let the wax dry completely.  Place a terrycloth towel or washcloth on the wax.  Heat up your iron and rub it on the towel.  Don’t leave your iron unattended.  Just [...]
