Need to clean your garbage disposal? Try lemons and/or limes and ice. Cut 2-3 lemons/limes in halfs. Push down disposal with 8-10 ice cubes. Turn on water, then disposal. The ice will clean and sharpen blades. Your disposal has never smelt sooo good!

If you cook quite a bit, you might use your coffee grinder to grind other things. A good way to clean it in between different uses is to put a piece of bread in there and grind it up. It will absorb the other flavors and residue.
