candle wax on your carpet

As always…my candles drip everywhere but I keep using them. A helpful hint for getting that wax off of your carpets or rugs is to let the wax dry completely. Place a terrycloth towel or washcloth on the wax. Heat up your iron and rub it on the towel. Don’t leave your iron unattended. Just keep pressing it on the towel and the wax will soak into the towel.
Works like a charm.
My ex-husband lays carpet. He gave me this wonderful idea-and it works! When wax gets on the carpet, put wax paper ontop of the wax, THEN put the towel/washcloth on top of the wax paper and iron the top of the towel/washcloth. This way the towel/washcloth will not be ruined with wax! IT REALLY WORKS!
