In my quest to become more “green”, I have really been turned off by some of my friends and family. I’m surprised at the response I get from people regarding this topic. People think that you are a “tree hugger” or “hippie” when you do a few simple things to help the environment along.

I know so many people who don’t recycle at all. How hard is it to throw your stinkin’ cans in a bag and drop them off at a recycle center? I think it is just plain laziness. People should think about where all of their crap is going to go. Nowhere! It’s going to sit in a landfill until that fills up and then they might end up building a new landfill in your backyard. You will have no place to complain unless you do something now.

All I’m asking is that people just stop and think for a few minutes. Buy recycled products. Use fabric bags at the grocery store. Think for a minute…does a family of 3 or 4 really need 3 or 4 gas-guzzling cars? No…get out on your bike. Carpool. Ride the bus. THINK THINGS THROUGH!

Is there anybody out there who is as pissed about this as I am?
