There are not enough places around that show they care about being GREEN. I do what I can for the world…recycling, pre-cycling and all of that other good stuff. People NEED/SHOULD care.

With regard to going green with your car, here’s something easy we can all do even if you don’t own a hybrid: take it easy and don’t drive so fast. You know who you are……you mash on the gas when the light turns green and stomp on the brakes when you see red. Studies show you’ll save anywhere from 20 to 40% on fuel consumption just by accelerating gradually. Fuel economy drops like a rock too the faster you go above 60 mph. Gas prices would tumble if everyone would just slow down and take some time to see the green around them.

I think it is living in USA. Because being a part of the consuming economy and very much depending on gasoline for moving from one place to other, consuming too much of water for all daily needs I think I can’t be eco friendly.

Not having the money or enough stores dedicated to selling green items.

I realize we have to approach everything with baby steps, but I certainly wish MORE people cared enough about the enviroment to give up some of their materialistic stuff and get greener things.

The hardest thing for me is dealing with the attitudes of others – people say we’re stupid and we’ll never make a difference. Even my own family considers us the ‘tree-huggers.” Also, I know a lot of people who don’t even believe that global warming occurs – they tell me politicians make it up! Anyway, my husband and I know we do things for a higher purpose – preserving our world for our children and theirs.

My car is somewhat environmentally responsible, nothing like a hybrid or anything. With kids it would be so hard to get around the city to get groceries and run errands without it.

I’ve been buying only green products at the store and using cloth bags. I recycle and try to cut the energy usage in our house. It’s just that darn car that sucking down $50 of gas a week and being my green issue.
