I have 3 very small children, so this is an important topic around our house.  Kids truly want to get involved in cleaning if you make it as fun as possible.  I have found that my little ones love pushing around a dry swiffer or dusting with a swiffer wand.  I recently bought a little play vacuum and they think that is cool too.  There are tons of ways to get kids involved now- just be creative.
